Beyond what you see on the red carpet, Grammy edition.

Choosing what to wear at any red carpet event has always been a major factor.  It is rare that one would be asked about anything other than what they are wearing or who they brought as their guest.  Watching the pre-show I could not stop thinking about what kind of people the artists are beyond the screen.  A few caught my attention for good reasons.  Here is my list of notable Grammy stars, in no particular order, because not everything in life is a competition:

KALEY CUOCO

Kaley stood out because her look is so fun and effortless. This star is more than a beauty, she is an animal lover. She uses her platform to promote adopting pets, instead of shopping for them through her (Adopt don't shop) statement on her IG account. @normancook

ADELE

Hot mumma!  Adele looks happy, and healthy.  As a mother, I know the struggle it is to maintain yourself after having kids.  Kudos to her for balancing her career and mum life.

DEMI LOVATO

2.5 million dollars worth of jewelry is nice. But the real diamond is Demi.  By overcoming depression at a young age, she has proven her resilience.  It is nice to see her shinning like the powerful star she has always been.  #demisvocals

JAZMINE SULLIVAN

Although she looks stunningly beautiful! It was rumored that Jazmine quit show biz, due to the industries pressure to look a certain way.  I'm glad she did not quit!  This singer/songwriter is a much needed voice in the industry, and her talents are as beautiful as she is!

BFF's SELENA GOMEZ AND TAYLOR SWIFT

How cute is their friendship! What a breath of fresh air to see young, beautiful, talented, independent business women uplifting each other's carrer.  Selena's face during Swifts speech screams #1 fan!

Though looks are part of first impressions, they play little to no part in how you make someone feel.  As women, we are expected to look a certain way on the red carpet.  As women we can throw a curve ball by bringing out the big guns and making someone feel something beyond what they see.

XOXO,
